Patricia Ann Auen, age 77, of Wall Lake, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2017, at Twilight Acres in Wall Lake. Patricia Ann Fowler was born on January 23, 1940, to Keith and Neva (Foley) Fowler in Rockwell City, IA. Patricia attended school in Lake View, IA. On January 7, 1959, she married Lawrence Auen in Jackson , MN. Patricia joined the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Lake View after being baptized in 2000. She served as a member of the Ladies Aid and also helped the church run their stand during the Lake View Water Carnival.
Patricia worked at a café in Sac City for about a year and worked part-time at the popcorn plant for a few years, but her favorite job was being a homemaker/housekeeper. Lawrence always had something for her to do to keep her busy and she liked that.
While most of her life was lived in Iowa, Patricia and Lawrence did spend about 4 years living in Oregon. She enjoyed many things, one being the monthly supper outings she and Lawrence would go on with their close friends. She loved animals, flowers, gardening, watching movies, and really enjoyed watching hummingbirds fly around from flower to flower. She collected many knick-knacks over the years and always had fun adding to that collection. Every summer Patricia traveled to Florida with a group of her classmates. A great time was sure to be had as well as many memories made. Patricia was a wonderful aunt to so many nieces and nephews, she treasured each and every one of them. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Keith and Neva Fowler, mother-in-law Ruth Auen, brothers Kenneth and David Fowler, sister Leanne Remmick, sister-in-law Janice Wehde, and brother-in-law John Russell.
