     Martin “Marty” Vance Littlejohn, age 65, of Lake View, IA, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2015 at Black Hawk Care Center in Lake View, IA.

     Martin was born on September 17, 1949 in Leavenworth, KS.  He lived in Kansas City, KS with his parents, George and Merville (Eichhorn) Littlejohn and attended school through the ninth grade at Stoney Point School in Bonner, KS

     After graduating ninth grade, Marty moved to Salina, KS then Topeka, KS and attended Kansas Vocational College learning the Janitorial trade.

     Marty moved to Sac City, IA in 1990 to be closer to his brother Larry. 

     Marty was disabled, and because of his disabilities he was unable to work.  Marty loved to fish, and did so whenever he was able.  He enjoyed listening to Country Music, visiting with his many friends, and attending church.  He enjoyed many day trips with Loren and June Littles, who took him wherever he wanted to go. 

     After suffering a heart attack in November of 2014, Marty was transferred from Sac Hospital to the Fort Dodge Medical Center, then to Des Moines where he had open heart surgery. After his surgery he transferred to Omaha. Once he was put on Hospice he was transferred to Black Hawk Care Center and resided there until his death.

      Marty is survived by his parents George and Merville Littlejohn of Sac City, IA; 5 brothers:  Lawrence Littlejohn of Sac City, IA, Richard Littlejohn of Stover, MO, Jerry Littlejohn of Colorado Springs, CO, Keith Littlejohn of Omaha, NE, and Kenneth Littlejohn of Virginia Beach, VA;  special friends Loren and June Littles of Sac City, IA; and extended family members.

     Marty was preceded into death by grandparents Charles and Margaret Eichhorn.

     Those that knew Marty will remember him fondly and miss him dearly.

     Marty will be cremated and a small Memorial Service will be held for Marty on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Christian Church, Sac City, IA.

     Bars and coffee will be served following the service in the Fellowship Hall.

     The family requests no flowers but will accept donations and cards.
