Louise McFarland Rabe, 98 years old, born on November 13, 1916, died on April 8, 2015. She lived her whole life in Odebolt, Iowa except a couple years during WWII where she lived in Oregon with her husband, Eugene McGonigle, her high school sweetheart. She married after graduation and had two children, Patricia McGonigle Oldnettle in Fort Walton Beach, Florida and deceased son Ronald McGonigle and wife Mary in South Carolina. She then married Clyde Wardip a furniture store owner who later left her a widow. She then married Cliff Rabe a farmer. She spent the last years at the Odebolt Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Her friends were like family to her. She was a great cook and house keeper. She especially enjoyed baking; her pies were amazing. She was a good driver never having an accident. She played cards and enjoyed Bingo. Her daughter Patricia traveled yearly to visit and play Bingo with her. The family wants to thank the nursing home staff and Hospice for taking such good care of her. She will be missed by her many grand and great-grand children, her niece and nephews.
