   Emma Elizabeth Gosch, age 105, of Wall Lake, IA, passed away on Monday, January 26, 2015, at Twilight Acres Nursing Home in Wall Lake.  Emma was born on April 12, 1909, in Odebolt, IA, to Juergen C. and Elizabeth (Gonnerman) Gosch.   She was baptized at the Lutheran Church in Odebolt, and confirmed her faith in 1923 at the Lutheran Church in Wall Lake, where she remained a lifelong member.  Emma attended Country School thru the 8th grade and attended the Lutheran School in 9th grade.

   Emma worked at the grocery store, did housework, worked at Zenith and in 1941, she started working for Wincharger in Sioux City. In 1975, she retired and returned to live in Wall Lake.  After retirement, Emma devoted much of her time to her family and traveling.

     Emma was a very social and friendly person.  She was strong willed and had strong spiritual beliefs.  She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, family gatherings, and traveling.  Some of her favorite songs were: “I Am But A Stranger Here” and “What A Friend We Have In Jesus”.  Emma will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.

   Survivors include her sister Louise Anderson of Vancouver, WA; sister-in-law Irene Gosch of Hawarden, IA; and many nieces and nephews.

  Emma was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters: Alvena Gosh and Marie and husband Bill Wincell; brother Ferdinand Gosch; Louis Gosch and wife Elizabeth; Claus Gosch and wife Thema; Chris Gosch; Martin Gosch and wife Marcia; Paul Gosch and wife Ann; and brother-in-law Sam Anderson.
