Patrick Francis Killeen Sr.

Patrick F. Killeen Sr. age 72, of Denison, IA, formerly of Sac City, IA, passed away Sunday, November 18, 2012 at Denison Health Care Center in Denison, IA. Patrick Francis Killeen Sr. was born on July 3, 1940, to parents Eldore (Slim) and Dorothy (Snyder) Killeen in Esterville, IA. He was baptized into the Catholic faith in Esterville, IA, and later confirmed at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Sac City, IA. He graduated from Sac City High School with the class of 1958. At age 19 he began work as a mechanic with John Deere in Sac City, and worked there until his retirement in 1999.

Pat was united in marriage to Patricia Ann Sigler in Sac City, IA, in 1961. They were blessed with six children: Dennis, Douglas, Deborah, Dawn, Paula, and Patrick Jr.

Pat had a love of engines that showed in his profession and his love of John Deere tractors, his collection of scale model tractors, and affinity for Ford Trucks. He could also frequently be found throwing strikes at the local bowling alley. He will be dearly missed by all those that knew and loved him.

Survivors include his children: Dennis (Lolita) Pepper of Kenly, NC, Douglas Pepper of Houston, TX, Deborah Rowles of Boone, IA, Dawn Bossert of Frisco, CO, Paula (Mike) Schwabe of Breda, IA, Patrick (Crystal) Killeen Jr. of Denison, IA; 17 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother Richard (Dick) and Linda Killeen of Sac City, IA.
