Tillie Dreeszen

Tillie Catherine Amelia Dreeszen of Sac City, IA, passed away on Monday, July 29, 2013 at her home at Oak Terrace Estates.

Tillie was born in Ida Grove, IA, the daughter of Henry and Johanna (Jacobsen) Rehse. She was baptized and confirmed at the Lutheran Church in Ida Grove and graduated from Ida Grove High School.

On December 3, 1950, Tillie was united in marriage to Dale Dreeszen. Before her marriage, Tillie worked at the courthouse, after her children were born, she was a homemaker and helped on the farm raising chickens and tending her garden. She loved knitting and quilting. When they retired from farming they moved to town and wintered in Mesa, Arizona. Tillie later moved to Oak Terrace in May of 2013 where she loved to play cards, especially Bridge and 500. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sac City.

Survivors include her daughters: Linda Dreeszen of Cincinnati, OH and Sally Pettinelli of Bridgeport, CT; three grandchildren: Cheri Brown and husband Mark of Oklahoma City, OK, Michael Rehse of Oklahoma City, OK and Jimmy Rehse of Clearwater, FL; three great-grandchildren; a sister Ruth Zadow of Tigard, OR; and extended family members.
