  James “Jim” Nuetzman, age 87 of Sac City, IA, formerly of Spencer, IA, passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Accura HealthCare in Lake City, IA. Jim Leroy Nuetzman was born on May 18, 1938, to parents LeRoy and Alvina (Dettmann) Nuetzman. He grew up with his family in the Wall Lake, IAarea. Jim was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Odebolt, IA, and was confirmed on June 29, 1952. He attended school in Odebolt and graduated with the class of 1956.
  Jim met the love of his life, Nancy Neville at Odebolt High School in 1955. After graduation in 1956, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. He served four years as a cryptographer in Rothwesten, Germany and was honorably discharged in 1960.
  On July 10, 1960, Jim and Nancy were united in marriage. They moved from Odebolt to Spencer. This union was blessed with four daughters: Tamara, Tanya, Tangela and Tasha. During his life, Jim and Nancy had several successful businesses including a restaurant, laundromat and dry cleaning, real estate, as well as working on the family farm. 
  In his spare time, Jim enjoyed fishing, woodworking, tractors and mechanics. He took many fishing trips with his brother-in-law Dale. In addition tthis, Jim loved football and track, which he participated in when he was in high school and enjoyed watching throughout his life. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
  Those left to cherish his memory include his children: Tammy (Scott) Wachter, Tanya (Dan) Druivenga, Tangy (Tom) Griffin,and Tasha Nuetzman-Wiese (Eric); brother Jack Nuetzman;sister Rosalie Nuetzman; grandchildren: Traeyton Griffin, KhiaGriffin, Blake Wiese, Chase Wiese, Bryson Wachter, Skylar Wachter, Alyssa Smith, McKinseDruivenga, and BoeDruivenga; great-grandchildren: Caleb Wachter, Cooper Wachter, Weston Smith, Emmett Smith, Mya Wachter, Jase Wachter, and Rhett Wachter; other extended family members and friends.
  Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Nuetzman; parents LeRoy and Alvina Nuetzman; brother Don (Colleen) Nuetzman; sister in-law Carol Nuetzman; and nephew Danny Nuetzman.
