Heath Davis, age 50 of Fonda, IA, passed away peacefully with family by his side on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at Fonda Specialty Care in Fonda. Heath Alan Davis was born on December 9, 1973, to parents Arnold and Geraldine (Cheney) Davis at Loring Hospital in Sac City, IA. 

   Heath lived in several group homes throughout his life including one in Sioux City where he also attended school. Heath’s struggles did not hold him down. He was a strong-minded individual who knew what he wanted and just how he wanted it. He had a contagious smile and loved grilled cheese sandwiches as well as cakes and sweets. Heath loved conversation and was known for stopping people to ask their name and reaching out for a handshake.  

   Heath was fascinated by trains and always admired the military and police. He could often be found watching his favorite cop shows on television. Most recently, Heath was quite taken by Jesus. He was baptized during one of his hospital stays and from that day forward he clung to his Savior like no other. He will be missed dearly by his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him. Rest assured he was welcomed into his Savior’s arms where he will live eternally alongside all of his loved ones who have gone before him. 

   Survivors include his siblings, Shirley (Nels) Hollander, Kathy (Boyd) Adams, and Earl Davis, all of Sac City, IA; many nieces, nephews, other extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Geraldine Davis.
