Paul J. Jensen

Paul J. Jensen, age 78, passed away Friday, October 25, 2013 at the Correctionville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Correctionville, IA. Paul Jerome Jensen was born on June 20, 1935 to parents Oluf and Margaret (Redig) Jensen in Carroll, Iowa. While growing up he lived on the family farm in Lake View, IA. He attended school in Lake View graduating from Lake View High School. Paul was baptized/confirmed into the Catholic faith and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Sac City.

Paul was united in marriage to Rose Marie Gray at St. Lawrence Catholic Church on June 19, 1965, in Carroll, IA. They were blessed with three children: David, Diane, and Darlene.

Paul worked hard as a farmer to provide for his family. After farming he worked at Bowie Manufacturing in Lake City, IA, and American Protein Corp in Lytton, IA. He had a love of antique tractors, gardening, and country music. He enjoyed fishing and the companionship of his dog. Paul adored the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children: David P. (Stephanie) Jensen of Sioux City, IA, Diane (Devin) Gottsch of Carroll, IA, and Darlene (Jeff Shedd) Brincks of Carroll, IA; grandchildren: Peyton and Carson Jensen, Brady, Connor, Jared and Keaton Gottsch, and Bailey, Ashley, and Ethan Brincks; sisters: Mary Becker of Lake View, IA, and Dorothy (Lawrence) Lanphier of Omaha, NE; and many extended family members and friends.
