Marjorie Ferne (Rench) Jarvis, known to her family as Mom & Grandma, was born on Christmas Day in 1924 to Vivan and Agnes Rench in Lytton, Iowa.
Marjorie grew up in the Sac County area and married Bernard Gilbert “Bub” Jarvis on June 8, 1942, in Dakota City, Nebraska. The couple farmed for many years outside Sac City until retiring in 1976 and moving into town. Marjorie, never one to shy away from work, was employed over the years at Nobles Manufacturing, Vilas & Company, and as a cook at Sac Community School.
Marjorie enjoyed games, especially Bingo. She loved to play cards and was in many area card clubs. She was a long-time member of the First Christian Church in Sac City. Marjorie loved her grandchildren and always looked forward to their countless visits. Spending time with them would be something she would always cherish. We will miss her so very much, Go Rest High Upon that Mountain Grandma. We Love You!
