David Karl Breen, age 62 of Wall Lake, IA passed away on Monday, March 7, 2022, at Loring Hospital, Sac City, IA.  David was born on August 18, 1959, to parents Laurie and Esther (Winkler) Breen in Yankton, S.D.  He grew up in the South Dakota area with his family.  He graduated from high school and also attended one year of college in Yankton. 

    He was united in marriage to Carolyn (McMurrin) in 1994 in Yankton, S.D. He was blessed with two children from a previous marriage, Justin and Tiffany.    

    David worked at Gurneys Seed Nursery in Yankton, S.D., and most recently was a Sheer Operator at Evapco from 2002-2022.  He was a Missouri Synod Lutheran and a quiet man that kept to himself.  He enjoyed fishing and could brew his own beer.  David loved cars, and his pride and joy was his red corvette. 

     Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 27 years Carolyn Breen of Wall Lake, IA; children: Justin (Amanda) Breen of Yankton, S.D. and Tiffany (Valdez) Galvin of Yankton, S.D.; brother: William Breen of Yankton, S.D.; sister: Roxanne (Brian) Hunhoff of Yankton, S.D.  23 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.    

     He was preceded in death by his parents Laurie and Esther Breen.
