“I'll always remember growing up deer hunting around Early for many reasons. The one I'm thinking about now is how relieved I would feel seeing Bill's pickup on its way to come pick me up out of a frozen fence line when the deer decided to go the other way. I was relieved for three main reasons. 1-I always knew his pickup would be warm and cozy. 2- His coffee was always hot and fresh. And 3 (the most important) Bill would always have bag filled with Mardelle's sugar cookies! The one year Mardelle sent Bill out with 2 dozen cookies and word spread fast across the group. Those two dozen cookies did not last long and Bill made a call to Mardelle and had 3 dozen more the next day! The cookies were gold and filled with love. Every sugar cookie I eat today is strictly judged and never come close to Mardelle's. My deepest condolences to Bill and all of the Bell family. With Love-Nick and Jess Feilmeier and Family”
