George Lewis Klein was born on November 4, 1966, in Harlan, IA. He graduated in 1985 from Denison High School in Denison, IA.  George went straight to Basic and AIT training with the Iowa National Guard where he served multiple enlistments and excelled as a Bradley Fighting Vehicle mechanic. George held several jobs throughout his life but none he enjoyed more than when he was in the solitude of the forest felling trees.

    His love for the outdoors lead him to his mountain home at Cascade, Colorado where he passed away suddenly on December 12, 2021.

   George is survived by his father Joseph Klein (Joyce) of Spencer, IA (formerly of Buck Grove, Iowa); Brothers: Mike Klein of Tampa, FL and John Klein of Ankeny, IA; Nephews: Jeremy Klein of Largo, FL and Ian Klein of Ankeny, IA; Nieces: Jadan Klein and Haylynn Klein of Largo, FL; other relatives and many friends.

   George was preceded in death by his mother Carmen Klein, his older brother Joseph Michael Klein, and his uncle Glenn Klein of Springfield, IL.
