Ethel Hillman, age 103, of Odebolt, IA, passed away Thursday, January 09, 2014, at Black Hawk Life Care Center in Lake View, IA.
Ethel Grace Warren Hillman was born on February 9, 1910, in Early, IA to parents Mark and Jennie (Millington) Warren. She attended country school and was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Early, IA.
She was married to Ernest Hillman and together they raised five children: Victor, Dwayne, Charles, Bernetta and Ernestine. Ethel had a love for people and it showed in her work at the nursing home as well as in her caring for children. Ethel loved her cats, was drawn to the birds in the nursing home, enjoyed playing bingo, uno-cards, and going on outings with Reka and Charlie. She lived life to the fullest and will be dearly missed by those that knew and loved her.
Survivors include her daughter Ernestine Hillman; grandchildren: Angie Reimers, Bryon Wunschel, and Denise Wunschel; great-grandchildren: Kristina, Abe, Sara, Cole, Kayla, Angel, and Brayden; niece Reka (Charles) Bohm and family; and nephew Mark (Tami) Auen and family.
