Patty Hawks

Patty Hawks, age 52, of Sac City, IA, passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2014, following a lengthy illness at her home in Sac City surrounded by her family.

Patricia Marie Peterson was born on June 13, 1961, in Joliet, IL, to Marvin and Lois (Zimmerman) Peterson. In 1969 the family moved to Sac City. Patty graduated from Sac City High School in 1979.

She was blessed with a daughter, Lacey, in her marriage to Bob Hawks and a son Casey in her unity to Mark Lynch. Her children and grandchildren were her priority. She cherished her grand-babies and loved them unconditionally. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sac City.

Survivors include her best friend and partner, Terry “Gerk” Cook; daughter Lacey Hawks (Keith) of Sac City; son Casey Lynch (Tina) of Sac City; step-son Ryan Cook (Becky) of North Liberty, IA; step-father Harlan Shade of Sac City; grandchildren: Cianna, Rylen, and Taelyn Johnson; Brenlea Lynch, and Jairden Mendanhall. Other survivors include her sister, Kathy Carter of Sioux City and her family, Tracy, Ashley and family and David Henrich; brothers: Tom Peterson and his son Jason Peterson of Sioux Falls, SD; and Ron Peterson (Margo) of Newell and their family, Jesse, Eric, Tiffany and Alex; her former spouse Bob Hawks; and friend Mark Lynch; extended family members and many other friends.
