Wendall “Butch” Schulte, age 68 of Sac City, IA, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2020, at Black Hawk Life Care Center in Lake View, IA.  Wendall Douglas Schulte was born on April 21, 1952, to parents Paul and Beulah (Rhinehart) Schulte in Sac City, IA.  He grew up in Sac City and graduated in 1971 from Sac City High School.

   Butch met and dated Mona Geisinger Larson and after 15 years of togetherness, he finally said “yes” and married his love on August 8, 1997, in South Dakota. With this union, he gained two stepdaughters: Michelle Snyder and Melissa Langbein.  Butch drove truck for many years, starting with Ron Whipkey, before starting his own trucking company.  He drove a Peterbilt for a while but he always said the best truck was a Kenworth.  After a long day of work, Butch would always come home and relax with a cold Pabst Blue Ribbon.

   For several years, Butch loved and owned Dalmatians. Ralph was his first, then Ralph Jr., RJ, Spook and Pokey. Next came Daisy, an English Shephard who rode shotgun on their daily rides. In his free time, Butch loved going to car shows and showing his own cars. He always enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren, they were very important to him. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

   Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Mona Schulte of Sac City, IA; daughters: Michelle Snyder of Dickens, IA, and Melissa Langbein of Sac City, IA; grandchildren: Kali, Ceaira, Delaney, Rachel, Nicole, Brandon and Joe; great-grandson Elvis; brother Ted (Linda) Schulte of Sac City, IA; sister Marilyn Irwin of Cabot, AR; many other extended family members and friends.

   Butch was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law Dick Irwin, and son-in-law Al Snyder.
