Vernon Ben Rubendall, age 56 of Sac City, IA, passed away at his home on Monday, January 6, 2020.  He was born in Sac City on November 8, 1963, to Oscar and Betty (Finley) Rubendall.  Vernon was the eighth of nine children.  He was baptized and confirmed at the United Methodist Church in Sac City.  He graduated from Sac City High School with the Class of 1982 and remained a lifetime resident of Sac City.

   Vernon trucked for Richards Construction Company for many years.  Throughout his life he helped area farmers when needed.  He really enjoyed helping his brothers Todd and Lonnie on their acreages both with raising cattle and tending a large garden.  He also loved riding his bicycle and later in life his motorcycle.  Vernon always made time for his family by giving someone a ride, cleaning garden produce, going to farm sales, or just visiting.  He was an entertainer and always loved joking around and playing with his nieces and nephews.  They adored him and will miss him dearly.

   Those left to cherish his memory include his siblings: Leon (Roxy) Rubendall of Sac City, Linda (Joe) Passow of Duncombe, IA, Loreli (Jim) Anderson of Fulshear, TX, Loretta Mallett of Cape Canaveral, FL, Todd Rubendall of Sac City, and Tricia Olsson of Rockledge, FL; aunts, uncles, many nieces and nephews, and friends.

   Vernon was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Betty Rubendall; and brothers: Loren and Lonnie Rubendall.
