Cindy Lou Dixon was born on January 4, 1957, at Loring Hospital to parents Kenny and Darlene (Schmidt) Dixon in Sac City, IA. She was baptized in September of 1957, at St. Luke's Hospital in Sioux City, IA, due to an illness she had at the time. In May of 1971, Cindy confirmed her faith at Zion Lutheran Church in Arcadia, IA.
Cindy grew up and attended some school in the Wall Lake area, later moving to the ARWEVA school district. On December 21, 1974, Cindy married the love of her life, Delaine Boger at the Zion Lutheran Church in Arcadia. This union was blessed with 2 children, daughter Amy, and son Tony.
Cindy and Delaine raised their family in Wall Lake. She was an in-home daycare provider that over the years cared for many children. She loved her job and loved the kids she cared for like family.
Cindy was a fan of camping and did so as time allowed throughout her life. Being able to camp alongside her family and friends brought her great joy. She was her son’s number one fan at the racetrack and enjoyed watching him. Her family and grandchildren meant the world to her and she loved attending of their special events. In her free time you could catch her playing her favorite game, Words with Friends. Cindy will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A special heartfelt thanks goes out to Dr. Pek, Unity Point Hospice of Storm Lake, Loring Hospital staff and the Cancer Treatment Center of America: Zion Illinois Branch.
