Barb Steinkamp, age 59 of Sac City, IA, passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge, IA.
   Barbara Jo (Green) Steinkamp, age 59, was born April 16, 1958, at Loring Hospital in Sac City, IA, to parents Dave and Grace (Duffy) Green. 
   She grew up in Sac City and attended Sac Community Schools graduating with the class of 1976.  She was baptized at St. Marys Catholic Church in Sac City.
   Barb entered the restaurant and hospitality business following high school and lived in Fort Dodge as well as Omaha.  She then decided it was time to fulfill her dream of living in Florida.  She moved there, continuing to work in the restaurant business, and at the same time being able to enjoy the sun and the water that she loved so much.  Barb then decided to move closer to home and returned to Iowa.  It was then, through a mutual friend, that she met her husband, Randy Steinkamp.  The two were united in marriage on Randy’s birthday, May 5, 1995, at Holy Angels Church in Roselle, IA.  They lived in Halbur, IA, for several years before returning to Sac City in 2011, where she worked at Sac County Abstract Company until recently.
   Not having children of her own, Barb enjoyed spending time with her five Green nephews, usually spoiling them rotten!  She loved her two cats which were “Her Girls”.
   The past couple of years Barb spent helping her mother with her needs.  They could be seen out driving around the lake or going here or there and were able to spend real quality time together.
   Barb passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2018,  at Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge, IA, due to declining health. 
   Left to cherish her memory is her brother Mike (Jeani) Green of Sac City, IA; nephews David (Katie), Patrick (Mary), Jim (Cassie), Ian and Alex Green; aunts Janet (Green) Saggau of Milford, IA, Donita Duffy of Sac City, IA; mother-in-Law Ruth Steinkamp of Carroll, IA; sister-in-law Cathy (John) Vonnahme of Arcadia, IA; brothers-in-law Kevin (Marie) Steinkamp of Logan, IA,  Bob (Julie) Steinkamp of Arcadia, IA; many cousins, extended family members and friends.
   Barb is preceded in death by her husband Randy on March 26, 2018; parents David and Grace Green; brother Robert Green; sister-in-law Linda Green; father-in-law Dale Steinkamp; maternal grandparents Frank and Mayme Duffy, and her paternal grandparents Roy and Clara Green.
   Barbara and Randy will be interred together Monday, April 16, 2018 on Barb's 60th Birthday.
