     Marlene Stille, age 82, of Schaller, IA, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at the Good Samaritan Home in Holstein, IA.  Marlene Annette Ford was born on July 18, 1934, to Clarence Elvin and Eda Lillian (Wilkens) Ford in Storm Lake, IA.  She was baptized and confirmed at the Methodist Church in Storm Lake.  Marlene grew up on a farm near Storm Lake with her four siblings and graduated from Hayes Consolidated High School in 1952.  

     On September 12, 1952, Marlene was united in marriage to Marvin Stille in the Methodist Church in Storm Lake.  She loved being a farm wife and homemaker, helping all she could on the farm.  Together they raised three daughters: Pamela, Colette, and Sara.  

     Family was always her priority.  She loved attending all her daughters’ activities as they were growing up and then when they married and had children, following her grandchildren’s sporting events and activities brought her great joy.  She enjoyed gardening, showing livestock at the fair, bird watching, and in her younger years driving the tractor for baling.  Marlene worked as a sales associate at Bomgaars in Storm Lake for 27 years, retiring in 2013.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

     Survivors include her husband, Marvin of Schaller; daughters: Pamela (Tim) Egland of Spencer,IA, Colette (Doug) Swarthout of Chariton, IA, and Sara (Dan) Richardson of Lake City, IA;  grandchildren: Kari (Kenny) Mason of Marshall, MO, Katie (Joe) Shore of Chariton, IA, Joel (Kelli) Egland of Spencer, IA, Robyn Post of Orange City, IA, Bill Post of South Carolina, Erica (Scott) Goodyear of St. Peters, MO, Danniele (Brock) Anderson of Lohrville, IA, Kelan (Kelsie) Richardson of Lake City, IA, and Rylan Richardson of Lanesboro, IA; great-grandchildren: Sydnee and Taylor Mason, Logan and Connor Shore, Ashley, Ethan, Owen and Colton Egland, Christopher and Carrington Post, Kaden, Jevan and Brylan Goodyear, Brockelyn and Treyg Anderson, and Kinley Richardson.  Other survivors include her sisters: Louise Ford of Storm Lake, IA, and Judy Stilwell of Fort Dodge, IA; many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

     Marlene was preceded in death by her parents, brother William Harrison Ford, and sister Barbara “Bobby” Ford.
