Marjorie Joan Leitz, age 85, of Lake View, IA, passed away at her home on Tuesday, May 26, 2015. She was born on January 2, 1930 to Roy and Hazel (La Port) McClintock in Sac City, IA.

Joan attended school in Sac City, and was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Lake View. Joan was united in marriage to LeRoy Leitz for many years and they were blessed with five children: Sharon, Barbara, Michael, Teresa, and Pamela.

Joan was a wonderful homemaker; caring for her children and providing a comfortable home brought her great joy. She also enjoyed collecting dolls and spending time with family and friends.

Joan is survived by three daughters: Barbara (James) Smith, Teresa (John) Drilling, and Pamela Leitz; six grandchildren: Alecia Smith, Matthew (Tiffani) Smith, Tiffany (Jason) McCabe, Joshua (Crystal) Drilling, Seth Peters (Jayla Clark), (Timothy Millard) and Maddigan Leitz; twelve great-grandchildren: Ariana Smith, Dante Brown, Braedan Dougherty; Quintyn, Warren, and Eviana Smith; Chairity, Michael, and Hope Milliard; Jace and Kinsley Drilling, and Livia McCabe; brother Walter McClintock; special friend Phillip Riedell, and many extended family members and friends.

Joan was preceded in death by her children: Sharon Staton, and Michael Leitz; grandchildren: Robbie Staton and Erica Auen-Millard; parents Roy and Hazel (La Port) McClintock; and siblings: Maxine McClintock, Georgina Harvey, Betty Palmer, Virginia Courter, Lester, Percy, and Jimmy McClintock.
