Larry “Ace” Cross, age 72, of Manson, IA, formerly of Lytton, IA, passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2013, at the Manson Good Samaritan Center in Manson, IA.
Larry was born on May 12, 1941, to Russell and Vera (Oestreich) Cross at Carroll, IA. He was baptized and confirmed at Emanuel-St. John Lutheran Church in Lytton where he remained a member. Ace graduated from Lytton Community High School in 1959 and attended Buena Vista College in Storm Lake.
Ace lived on the family farm, farming the home place. He loved farming and spending time with his friends. He was married to Carol Watson in November of 1969, they later divorced.
Survivors include his sisters: Jo Fischer of Iowa City; Pat Foote of Newton; and Cynthia (Jack) Fischer of Twin Lakes; nieces and nephews: Kirk (Lisa) Fischer of Grimes, Kent (Kari) Fischer of Marion, Kellie Fischer of Chicago, Eric Foote of Boulder, CO, Kristi (Randy) Rinderknecht of Urbandale, Jess (Erika) Hout of Fort Dodge, and Kyle (Linsey) Hout of Polk City; great-nieces and nephews; and many extended family members.
