Klaus Dieter Beyer, age 66, of Wall Lake, IA, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, IA.
Klaus was born at Modesse, Germany the son of Rudolf and Edith (Armonot) Beyer. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Eddimissen, Germany and attended school in Modesse until he was 15 years of age, when the family moved to Wall Lake, IA. He graduated from Wall Lake High School.
Klaus was a welder and worked at Rowedder Implement, GOMACO in Ida Grove and later at Lake View Concrete. He was a great outdoorsman and loved fishing and hunting and spending time with his family. Listening to country music and watching CMT on TV was another of his favorite pastimes. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Wall Lake.
Survivors include his mother, Edith Fischer of Wall Lake; sons: Jason Beyer of Perry and Devin Deshazo of Carroll; three grandchildren: Jack Deshazo, and Mercedes and Jory Beyer; sister Heidi Beaird and husband Steven of Slater, IA; aunt Erna Arnold of Wall Lake; niece Jamie Smith; great-niece Avaree Smith; and several cousins and extended family members.
