She graduated from Adair Casey High School and completed two years college at Westmar College. On June 22, 1991, Sherry was united in marriage to Terrence “Terry” Kuehnhold at Manhattan Beach in Okoboji, Iowa. She was a member of the Lakes United Methodist Church in Lake View. She worked at the A.S.C.S. office, when they lived in Denison, and after moving to Colorado, Sherry was employed at the Colorado Times System until her health forced her to retire in 1998. Sherry and Terry loved to travel, taking vacations to Okoboji and traveling to the East and West Coast and Great Lakes looking at lighthouses. She enjoyed family dinners, crafts, making floral arrangements, garage sales, her flower garden, reading, watching the pelicans, birds and ducks on the lake, and collecting shells. She was a proud member of the ladies “Red Hat Society.” Sherry’s grandchildren will always cherish their memory of “camp grandpa and grandma” each summer. Sherry was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who cherished her family. All those who knew and loved her will miss her friendly smile and loving heart. Survivors include her husband Terry of Lake View; daughter Wendy (Ben) Reiber and son Fletcher Sahl both of Loveland, CO; step-daughters: Kim (Eric) Kaub and Lisa (Jason) Blunk both of Vail, IA; six grandchildren: Samantha Reiber, Mitchell Blair, Kiersten Blair, Lincoln Kaub, Savanna Rardin, and Kyler Blunk. Other survivors include her sister Susan (Ralph) Phifer of Monroe, IA; brother Mike (Tamara) Rochholz of California; parents-in-law, Vernon and Donna Kuehnhold and brother-in-law Kevin Kuehnhold all of Denison, IA; many nieces and nephews; extended family members; and friends. Her parents Dean Rochholz and Joyce Funk preceded Sherry in death. |
