Peggy was born on November 27, 1948 in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the daughter of Harry D. and Evelyn M. (Fisher) Nordin. She attended Lytton Consolidated School graduating with the class of 1967. She continued her education at the University of Northern Iowa. Peggy then went to work in Sioux City, Iowa where she gave birth to her twins, Amy Lynne and Christopher Michael. Shortly after they were born, she moved back to Lytton to raise her family. She worked at Glasnapp Trucking and Sparky’s for many years.

She was baptized as an infant and later confirmed her faith as a youth at the Lytton Presbyterian Church where she remained a life time member, serving as a Elder and currently serving on the Session. She had a lot of pride in her community, helping her mom with UNICEF; organizing the bunny raffle for the Lytton Easter-Egg Hunt; headed the Gala Day Committee for many years and helped with the Gala Day Parade; and promoted “Lytton Town Nights”. She loved her flower garden, feeding the squirrels, shopping, decorating her house for the Holidays, and an occasional trip to the casino. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Her family was always first in her heart. She treasured the times spent with her family, especially her grandsons, and their family gatherings. All those who knew and loved her will dearly miss her.

Survivors include her son, Chris Nordin and wife Tracey of Omaha, Nebraska; daughter, Amy DeJong and husband Jeff of Brandon, South Dakota; and grandsons: Trey, Brady and Payton DeJong and Cole Nordin.
