Michael Lee Penniman, Jr., age 41, of Arion, Iowa, formerly of Sac City, passed away Monday, November 24, 2008 at his residence in Arion.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 29th, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Sac City with Pastor Andrew Ratcliffe officiating. Burial will be at the Oakland Cemetery in Sac City under the direction of the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home. Visitation is from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, November 28th, at the funeral home in Sac City.

Michael was born on February 13, 1967, in Manning, Iowa, the son of Michael and Susan (Hinze) Penniman. He graduated from Sac City High School in 1985. Mike enjoyed working in the agri-implement business for his father at Lytton Farm Equipment. He was a loving father, son, brother and uncle who cherished his children and enjoyed spending time with them. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved to go fishing and hunting; play golf; ride his Harley; and go boating. He was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers and Iowa Hawkeyes and enjoyed vintage cars.

Survivors include his daughter Abigail and son Boden Penniman of Sac City; his parents Mike and Susie Penniman of Sac City; sister Brenda Wiederin and husband Jeff of Lytton; nephews and niece: Tanner, Cody and Haylee; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Frank and Francis Penniman; maternal grandparents, Glen and Lucille Hinze; and special friend Linda Carmichael.
