Leanne Faye Remmick, age 69, of Lake View, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, January 15, 2008, at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa.

Family graveside services at Ferguson Cemetery will be held at a later date. Farber & Otteman Funeral Home in Lake View is in charge of arrangements.

Leanne was born May 28, 1938, to Keith and Neva Fowler in Yetter, Iowa. She attended schools in Rockwell City and Lake View. Leanne was united in marriage to Elvin (Sonny) Remmick on May 25, 1957, at the Lutheran Church in Lake View. To this union four children were born.

Leanne enjoyed flowers, her cats and birds, and grandchildren, especially Reigny Jo. For many years she enjoyed driving truck for Mau Trucking with her husband. She also loved to go shopping every Friday with her three favorite girls, Sharon, Marie, and Reigny Jo.

Survivors include her husband Sonny; three sons: Allan Remmick and wife Carol of Spencer, IA; Rick Remmick of Springfield, MO; Jim Remmick and wife Meagan of Mapleton, IA; daughter Sharon Hoffard and husband David of Sac City, IA; 11 grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren with three on the way. Other survivors include her sister Patricia Auen and husband Lawrence of Lake View; half brothers: Bill Fowler and Bob Fowler both of California and John Fowler of Oregon; half sister Kathy Patrick of Oregon; brother-in-law Arlen Remmick of Fort Worth, TX; mother-in-law Adalian Remmick of Lake View; extended family members and friends.

Leanne was preceded in death by her mother and father; brothers Kenneth and David Fowler; half brothers: Ron Fowler and one in infancy; father-in-law Elvin Remmick; and brothers-in-law: Daryl and LeRoy Remmick.
