Florence E. McClintock

Florence E. McClintock, age 91, of Sac City, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2008, at Loring Hospital in Sac City.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, September 12th at the First Christian Church in Sac City with Rev. Sharla Hulsey officiating. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery under the direction of the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home.

Visitation is from 4:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home in Sac City.

Florence Eloise Adams was born on May 24, 1917, in Sac City, the daughter of Byron Emery and Cecile Mae (Baichtal) Adams. She was baptized and a lifelong member of the First Christian Church in Sac City and attended elementary school and high school in Sac City graduating in 1935. Florence was united in marriage to Percy Edward McClintock on June 29, 1935. They were blessed with three children: Monte, Claudia, and Gregory. Florence was a loving wife and mother, caring for her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her great joy. She enjoyed crocheting, her cats, bird watching, collecting dolls, reading and politics. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her children: Monte McClintock and wife Joyce of Garner, Iowa and their three children: Lori Goodwill and husband Terry of Kasson, MN, Bill McClintock and wife Carol of Owatonna, MN, and Molly Wempen and husband Dave of Hampton, IA; Claudia Hauser of Lake View and their three children: Larry Hauser and wife Karry of Lake View, Diane Kirby and husband Bryon of Lohrville and Tony Hauser and wife Stephanie of Lake View; Gregory McClintock and wife Wanda of Brighton, CO, and their children: Mark McClintock and wife Brigitte of Gillette, WY, and Kristi Dixon and husband Jake of Farmington, NM; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter. Other survivors include her sister Joyce Williams of Sacramento, CA; sister-in-law Joan Leitz of Lake View; brother-in-law Walter McClintock of Sac City, and many extended family members.

Florence was preceded in death by her parents; husband Percy on January 10, 2006; son-in-law Dale Hauser; three sisters: Anna McClintock, Elizabeth Morton, and Bernice Hagen; and three brothers: Paul, Harold, and John Adams.
