Faye Gwendolyn Crabb, age 92, of Sac City, Iowa, passed away on Monday, January 28, 2008, at Park View Care Center in Sac City. Faye was born on September 9, 1915, in Carroll County, the daughter of Roy and Rose (Clapper) Ridenour. She attended country school in the Carroll area.

Faye was married to Huber Girard. Three children were born to this union: DeVon, Donald, and Terry. She later married Howard Crabb and a daughter Rosalee was born to this union.

She loved being with her family and friends, playing board games, listening to music, crocheting, gardening, reading the Bible, and attending Faith Bible Church. Her family was always very important to her. She was a very caring and compassionate person who cherished her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed babysitting for many families.

Survivors include her son Terry Girard and wife Vickie of Sac City; daughter Rose Norris and husband Roger of Waukee, IA; stepchildren: Lyle (Sharon) Crabb of Sac City; Alice (Jim) Willittes of Sun Lakes, AZ; Leon “Bud” Crabb of Sac City; Wayne (June) Crabb of Sac City; Doris (Don) Dierenfeld of Urbandale, IA; Don (Judy) Crabb of Lorimor, IA; and Mary Lilly of Des Moines, IA; 5 grandchildren: Karen Austin, Avondale, AZ, Alan Girard, Sac City, Scott (Melanie) Girard, Manning, IA, Heather (Neil) Bartelt, Glendale, AZ, and Ryan Austin, Phoenix, AZ; five great-grandchildren: Chris, Kayla, Cheyenne and Cody Girard and Kyrena Miller; 23 step grandchildren; 38 step great-grandchildren; four step great-great grandchildren; many extended family members and friends.

Faye was preceded in death by her parents; two sons: DeVon and Donald Girard; granddaughter Angela Girard; and two brothers: Glen and Wayne Ridenour.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 1st, at the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home in Sac City with Rev. Brian Krause officiating. Burial will be at the Mount Hope Cemetery in Lindderdale, Iowa following the luncheon at Faith Bible Church in Sac City.

Visitation is from 4:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday evening, at the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home in Sac City.
