Corina Seela
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, December 6th at the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home in Sac City. Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon, prior to the services at the funeral home. Corina was born on July 14, 1940 in Caracas, Venezuela, to Raul and Lillian Ardell Garrido. After Ardell married Carl Seela, nine year old Corina and her seven year old brother Martin were adopted by Carl. Corina attended school in Schaller, Iowa. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Schaller. Corina was also a member of The Order of the Eastern Star. Corina had special needs, and after Ardell passed away in 1969, she began to work at the Howard Center in Sac City. Corina made many friends at Howard Center and moved there permanently after Carl's health declined. She made her home in Sac City until her health caused her to move into the care center in Odebolt. Survivors include her brother, Dave Seela and his wife Rozann of New Market, Iowa; her sister-in-law Paula Campbell of Dunlap, Iowa; niece Stacy Nurnberg and husband Tony of Independence, Missouri; nephews: Lee Seela and wife Annie of Kansas City, Kansas and Jonathan Seela of Dunlap, Iowa; extended family members; and many friends from the Howard Center. Corina was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Lillian Ardell Seela and two brothers: Dan and Martin. |
