Algerine “Sally” Veryl Hubbert, age 92, of Ames (formerly of Sac City), died Sunday, September 28, 2008, at Riverside Manor in Ames, IA.  Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 30, 2008, at Cory Grove Cemetery in Sac City.  There will be no visitation.  The Farber & Otteman Funeral Home in Sac City is in charge of arrangements.

Algerine “Sally” Veryl Hubbert was born on November 28, 1915, to Orville and Madge (Haradon) Hubbert in Sac City, Iowa.  She attended Sac City Grade School and graduated from Sac City High School.  She was baptized into the First Christian Church of Sac City where she remained a member throughout her life.

Sally spent her time as a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and reading.  She also spent time reading and listening to the radio.

Survivors include four nephews, four nieces, and several great-nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents: Orville and Madge; brothers: Glen and Wilbur Hubbert; and one sister Carolyn Crowe.
