Sidney Sue Griffor, age 8, of Sac City, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2007, at the Loring Hospital in Sac City.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Thursday, March 1st, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Sac City with burial following at Cory Grove Cemetery. Farber & Otteman Funeral Home in Sac City is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is from 4:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 28th at the funeral home.

Sidney Sue was born on October 7, 1998, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the daughter of Floyd Richard Giffor, III and Lindsay Joan McCrea. She was baptized at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Sac City and was currently a second grader at the Sac City Community School.

“Pee Wee”, as her father called her, liked school very much. She enjoyed going sledding, riding her bike, swimming, and spending time with her grandparents. Like all little girls, she liked to play with Barbie dolls and to have makeovers.

Sidney is survived by her father, Richard and his fiancé Kasey Edwards of Sac City; mother and step father, Lindsay and Dennis Allen of Cedar Rapids; two sisters: Zoie Griffor of Council Bluffs and Jamie Edwards of Sac City; grandparents: Brenda James and grandpa Bob Scheffler of Sac City, Floyd and Janet Griffor, Jr. of Interlachen, Florida, Mark Mueggenberg of Sac City, Holly Mueggenberg of Sac City, and Jeff and Leah McCrea of Decorah, Iowa; great grandparents: Walter and Grace Mueggenberg of Sac City, Bonnie McCrea of Sac City, Joan Sheely and her husband Chuck Zimmerman of Sac City; and great-great grandfather J. Doyle Grundon of Sac City.

She was preceded in death by two great grandfathers, Sherman McCrea and Don Sheely.
