Erica Lee Auen-Millard, age 30, of San Antonio, TX, formerly of Lake View, Iowa, passed away on October 2, 2007.

Erica was a beautiful baby girl, born to Pamela Leitz and Randy Auen at Loring Hospital in Sac City, Iowa.  Upon her arrival to this world, big blue eyes, blonde hair, dimples all over and an outgoing personality, which was made known immediately.  We, as her family, loved, spoiled and cherished her.  She loved spending time with her cousins, Rob, Alecia, Matt, Tiffany, and Josh, and was a little mother to her younger cousin, Seth.  Grandmas and Grandpas were very important to her and she loved them very much.  As she grew up into those adolescent years, she challenged her mother, as most teenagers do.  It was Mom and Grandma Leitz to the rescue many times, with unconditional love and more.  As she reached adulthood, she stumbled along the path a few times but with determination and love of life, she found her way.  Her destiny lead her to San Antonio, Texas, where she met her husband, Tim.  God blessed them with three beautiful children, Chairity Renee, five, Michael Herbert, three, and little baby, Hope Marjorie, two.  Erica loved being a mom; it was her greatest accomplishment in life.  Erica worked at the Trophy Shop.  Her job was great and all those she worked with were like family.  She never would pass up a challenge and always liked learning new things.  Erica and her family became members of the Baptist Church and had the blessings of friendships and the support of the congregation, which meant so much to her.  Erica went to be with the Lord on October 2, 2007.

She passed away unexpectedly at her home in San Antonio.  For those of us left behind, our hearts are broken-our tears are many-for questions there are no answers, but our memories are many.  We were truly blessed to have had Erica in our lives.  Some people make the world blessed just by being in it, that was our Erica.
    
Survivors include her husband and children; her mother Pamela Leitz; father Randall Auen; and sister Maddigan Rain Leitz Doyle.  Erica is also survived by her grandparents: LeRoy and Joan Leitz, and Herb and Colletta Auen; and her aunts and uncles: Sharon and Dennis Peters, Barb and Jim Smith, and Teresa and John Drilling.
  
Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday  November 10, 2007 at the Ferguson Cemetery in Lake View, Iowa.  Pastor Kenneth McMillen will be officiating.
