Doris N. Stoffregen, age 83, of Lake View, Iowa, passed away at the Stewart Memorial Community Hospital in Lake City, on Wednesday, May 9, 2007.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, May 12, 2007 at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Lake View with Pastor James Travis officiating. Burial will be in the Wall lake Cemetery. Friends may call at the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home in Lake View from 6 to 8 on Friday.

Doris was born on February 24, 1924, in Soldier, Iowa, the daughter of Olaf and Edith (Braden) Ulven and was baptized at the rural Lutheran Church near Soldier. Doris attended schools in Soldier, Denison and Lake View, graduating with the class of 1942.

Doris was united in marriage to Raymond Stoffregen on October 4, 1942, at the Peace Lutheran Church in Wall Lake. To this union three children were born, Marilyn, Marcia and Robert. The couple farmed in the Lake View area and the family were members of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Lake View.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and devoted friend to all. Hobbies that she enjoyed were gardening, square dancing, bowling, baking, playing cards and board games.

Survivors include, two daughters, Marilyn (Bob) Williams Pech of Laurens, Marcia Frank of Council Bluffs, one son, Robert (Sandra) Stoffregen of Lake View. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Joel (Tina) Williams, Ken (Diane) Williams, Julie (Ray) Paullin, Shannon (Kent) Johnson, Shelly Pankau, Sheila (Mike) Velasquez, Jason (Sally) Stoffregen, Heidi (Rex) Stout, Holly (Corey) Cornelius, and Heather (Fred) Stacy, along with her 20 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond in 1996; four brothers, Earl, Vern, Bennett, and Donald Ulven; two sisters, Mildred Britton and Lydia Jorgensen; and son-in-law, Robert Williams.
