Bernice Glass Bernice Glass was born in Carroll, Iowa, to Carl and Hazel Hoover on October 16, 1930. She grew up in Sac City and graduated from Sac High in 1950. On June 20, 1956, she married Jack Glass at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Jack and Bernice farmed in Sac City for many years. In 1972 they became proprietors of Indian Lanes Bowling Alley for 12 years. They then moved to Lincoln, Nebraska, and were resident managers of Budget Storage for approximately 20 years. Retiring in 2004, they moved to Omaha to be close to family. Berniece passed away on February 26, 2007, following a lengthy six years battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband Jack of 56 years; two sons, Michael Glass and wife Debra of Austin, and Jim Glass and wife Cheri, of Sac City; two daughters, Patricia and husband Larry Glass, of Omaha, and Kathryn, and husband Donald Walsh, of Omaha; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Delores and husband Keith Eckerman, of Wichita, and Jan Cornelius, of Topeka. |
