Funeral services for Wanda Mason will be held on Monday, January 16th, at 10:30 a.m. at the Presbyterian Church in Lytton with Reverend B. J. Ukena officiating. Burial will be at the Garfield Cemetery under the direction of the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home in Sac City on Sunday, January 15th.

Wanda H. Mason, age 86, of Lytton, Iowa, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2006, at the Stewart Memorial Community Hospital in Lake City, Iowa.

Wanda was born on November 17, 1919, in Lytton, Iowa, the daughter of Chris and Minnie (Schmidt) Haffner. She grew up on the family farm, attending Lytton schools and graduating from the Lytton High School in 1936. Wanda was baptized and confirmed in the Lytton Presbyterian Church of which she was a lifetime member always taking an active part in church activities. She was also a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Lytton.

On November 5, 1939, Wanda was united in marriage to Robert W. Mason at the Presbyterian Church in Lytton. To this blessed union, two daughters were born: Sharlene and Cynthia.

Wanda enjoyed reading, sewing, and playing cards. She took great pride in her home and spending time with her family and friends.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters and their husbands: Sharlene and David Platt of Green Valley, Arizona and Cynthia and Phil Rankin of Upland, California; four grandchildren: Jon and Marie Platt of Coon Rapids, MN, Libby Thompson of Burnsville, MN, Chad Rankin of Upland, CA, and Brandon Rankin of La Verne, CA; and five great grandchildren.

Her parents; husband, Robert on February 23, 2005; brother, Marvin Haffner; and sister, Velma Hunziker, preceded Wanda in death.
