Percy McClintock

Percy Edward McClintock passed away on January 10, 2006 at the age of 92.  He was born in Sac City on July 23, 19l3, being the second oldest of nine children of Roy and Hazel McClintock.

Percy married Florence Eloise Adams on June 29, 1935.  To this union three children were born: Monte, Claudia, and Gregory.  Percy spent most of his life in Sac City and started with McCorkle Construction in 1945 and worked there as a construction superintendent for 34 years before his retirement in 1979.

His retirement years were spent fishing, woodworking, and he loved the outdoors.

Percy was preceded in death by his father Roy McClintock and mother Hazel LaPorte McClintock, his brothers Lester and Jimmie, his sisters Virginia Courter, Maxine McClintock, Georgina Harvey and Betty Palmer.

He is survived by his wife Florence; three children: Monte and his wife Joyce of Garner, Iowa and their three children; Lori Goodwill and her husband Terry of Kasson, Minnesota, Bill McClintock and his wife Carol of Owatonna, Minnesota, and Molly Wempen and her husband Dave of Hampton, Iowa.  Claudia Hauser and her husband Dale of Lake View, Iowa and their three children; Larry Hauser and his wife Karry of Lake View, Diane Kirby and husband Bryon of Lohrville, Iowa and Tony Hauser and his wife Stephanie of Lake View.  Gregory and his wife Wanda of Brighton, Colorado and their children; Mark and his wife Brigitte of Gillette, Wyoming and Kristi Dixon and husband Jake of Farmington, New Mexico; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter.

He is also survived by his brother Walter McClintock of Sac City, as well as his sister Marjorie “Joan” Leitz of Lake View.

Funeral services for Percy will be held on Friday, January 13th, 10:30 a.m., at the First Christian Church in Sac City under the direction of the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home.  Reverend Sharla Hulsey will officiate.  Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery.

Visitation is from 4:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 12th, at the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home in Sac City.
