Lillian Sweet

Funeral services for Lillian Sweet will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, December 16th, at the United Methodist Church in Early, Iowa, with Pastor Carl Benge officiating. Burial will be at the Storm Lake Cemetery under the direction of the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home.

Visitation is from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, December 15th, where the family will be present at the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home in Sac City.

Lillian Sweet, age 94, of Lake View, Iowa, formerly of Early and Nemaha, passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2006, at Black Hawk Life Care Center in Lake View.

Lillian was born on March 23, 1912, in Sac County to Harry and Sadie (vonSchoenthal) Terwilliger. She attended Sac City Community Schools and graduated from Sac City High School in 1930.

She married Elmer Sweet on February 13, 1935. They farmed in the Nemaha area until 1979, when they retired and moved to Early. They moved to Sac City briefly in 1998, until both moved to the Black Hawk Life Care Center in 1998.

She was a member of the Early United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Janice Henry-Morgan and Tom Morgan of Waianae, Hawaii; two sons: Allan Sweet of Everett, Washington, and Eldon Sweet and wife Marie of Sioux City, Iowa; a sister-in-law Betty Terwilliger of Jefferson, Iowa; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Lillian was preceded in death by her parents; husband Elmer Sweet; brother Robert Terwilliger; two half sisters: Lila Byers and Lula McKeen-Stock.
