Justin Adam Friedrichsen, age 24, of Biggsville, IL, formerly of Wall Lake, Iowa, died Monday, June 12, 2006, at the Iowa Army Arsenal Plant in Middletown, Iowa.

Memorial services for Justin will be held on Friday, June 16th, 10:30 a.m., at Peace Lutheran Church in Wall Lake, Iowa, with Rev. Roger Carlisle officiating.  Farber & Otteman Funeral Home in Wall Lake is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 15th, with family present from 6:00-8:00, at the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home in Wall Lake.

Justin was born on November 16, 1981, at Ida Grove, Iowa, the son of Eugene Friedrichsen and Linda Wehner.  He was baptized and confirmed at Peace Lutheran Church in Wall Lake.  During his summer vacation, he loved to ride with his dad in the truck and be his navigator, help on the farm and go bowling.  He was known as “Fred” by his many friends, was an avid Chicago Bulls fan and liked to collect hats.  Justin graduated as an honor student from Wall Lake View Auburn High School in 2000 and received his Mechanical Engineering Degree from Iowa State University in 2004.  He was a member of the Beta Sigma Psi (Lutheran Fraternity) at Iowa State and enjoyed playing cards and pool with his fraternity brothers. 

Justin moved to Biggsville, Illinois, and was working as a mechanical engineer for American Ordnance in Middletown, Iowa.

Survivors include his father and stepmother, Eugene and Marla Jean Friedrichsen of Carroll, Iowa; his mother, Linda Friedrichsen and her special friend Reginald Conrad of Ida Grove, Iowa; his two sisters and two brothers: Michelle Lindner and husband Jerry of Lake View, Iowa, Crystal Brake and husband Loren of Rembrandt, Iowa, Jeremy Friedrichsen and wife Kelli of Audubon, Iowa, and Jason Friedrichsen and wife Sarah of Wall Lake, Iowa; his cousin Shelby Drohen of Fort Dodge, Iowa; Justin’s special friend, Jill Fertig of Biggsville, IL and formerly of Odebolt; Jill’s parents, Bill and Teresa Fertig of Odebolt; Jill’s brothers, Brian Fertig and Mark Fertig both of Odebolt; best friend, Terry Daniel of Manning, IA; 12 nieces and nephews; other extended family members and many friends.

Justin was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ommo Friedrichsen and Marcella (Walter) Korner; maternal grandparents, Norman and Carol Wehner; great-grandmother, Lydia Evans, and two cousins: T. J. and Michael Friedrichsen.
