Jack Dreessen

Memorial services for Jack Dreessen will be held, Monday, January 10th, 2:00 p.m. at the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home in Wall Lake with Rev. Donald Gibson officiating. Honorary pallbearers include the following: Joe Pick, Charles Kolbe, Doug Vondrak, Randy Aschinger, Charles Frank, and Mike Kettering (1946-2004). Burial will be at the Oaklawn Cemetery in Auburn under the direction of the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 3:00-5:00 pm, Sunday, January 9th at the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home in Wall Lake.

Jack Z. Dreessen, age 66, of Lake View, Iowa, passed away suddenly on Saturday, January 8, 2005, at the Loring Hospital in Sac City.

Jack was born on May 29, 1938, in Sac City, the son of John “Jack” and Lila Mae (Rodman) Dreessen. He lived south of Sac City and in the early 50’s moved with his parents to a farm near Auburn. He attended country school.

After his father passed away, Jack continued to farm the family farm. Through the years he also worked as a truck driver for Bud Ratigan, worked for the Harvestore Silo Company out of Humboldt, and farmed for Chuck Kolbe and Joe Pick.

Jack’s pride and joy was his Harley Davidson Motorcycle. He loved to go for rides in the countryside and meet other Harley enthusiasts. His other hobbies included hunting and going to Saturday afternoon matinee movies.

Survivors include his many cousins and friends.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lila Mae Dreessen.
