Marjorie Burk
Marjorie was born on June 7, 1925, in Sac City, the daughter of Laud and Margaret (McAfee) Buckley. She attended Sac City schools and graduated from Sac City High School in 1943. On December 30, 1943, Marjorie was united in marriage to Roger Burk in Kansas City, Kansas. They moved to Rockwell City after WWII and were blessed with a daughter, Marsha. In 1997, Marjorie moved to Sac City. She enjoyed playing cards and was a member of many card clubs. Some of her favorite memories would be spending time at their cabin in Canada, fishing and watching the sunset in the evening. Survivors include her daughter Marsha English and her husband Kenny of Ida Grove, IA; two grandchildren: Michael English and his wife Karen, and Ryan English; two great-grandchildren: Erica and Evan English; a brother, Dana Buckley and his wife Dea of Sac City, IA; a sister, Mildred Jons of Petoskey, MI; two sisters-in-law: Christina Buckley of Lake View, IA, and Frances Buckley of Sac City, IA; extended family members and friends. Marjorie was preceded in death
by her parents, Laud and Margaret Buckley; husband Roger; her sister,
Dorothy Moore; and brothers: Earl, Raymond, and Robert Buckley. Visitation will be prior to the graveside services beginning at 10:00 a.m. |
