Lineol G. “Bud” Owens
On April 8, 1967, Bud and Darlene Janssen were united in marriage at the Auburn Presbyterian Church, Auburn, Iowa. Bud worked as a salesman of agriculture feed products and was still actively selling seed corn and beans for Jacobsen Seed Company of Lake View. He will be remembered for his ability to fix things, like vacuum sweepers and refrigeration products. Bud was a mason and member of Nokomis Lodge No. 456 of Nokomis, Illinois, for 38 years. Survivors include his wife Darlene; his son Lance Owens of Irving, IL; his daughters: Debra (Ronald) Petefish of Ashland, IL, and Cayla Owens of Hillsboro, IL; four grandchildren: Raya (James) Bogard of Chicago, IL, Shana (Douglas) McClure and Dallas Petefish both of Ashland, IL, and Lacey Lynne Owens of Irving, IL; one great-granddaughter Addyson Rose McClure; his brother Roger (Sonja) Owens of Sac City; and many friends. Bud was preceded in death by his parents Graydon and Geneva Owens. Graveside services, under the direction for Farber & Otteman Funeral Home, will be Wednesday, June 23rd, 2:00 pm, at the Oak Lawn Cemetery in Auburn, Iowa, with Reverend Sharla Hulsey officiating. Pallbearers include the following: Duane Clausen, Kevin Kruse, Larry Birt, Lynn Kruse, Steve Janssen, and Jerry Gerken. |
