Kyle Martin

Kyle Richard Martin, age 16 of Sac City, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday June 3, 2004, at the Loring Hospital. Kyle was born December 21, 1987, at the Buena Vista County Hospital in Storm Lake, Iowa, the son of Jack and Marcia (Lundberg) Martin.

Kyle was baptized and confirmed in the Sac City United Methodist Church. He had just completed his sophomore year at Sac City High School. While in grade school, Kyle, participated in swim team, baseball, and 4-H. In high school he was active in football, basketball and track. He enjoyed his computer, playing video games, playing football and was an avid fan of the Iowa Hawkeye’s, Kansas City Chiefs, and the Chicago Cubs.

Kyle is survived by his parents, Jack and Marcia; brother, Colin; grandparents, Dick and Bonnie Martin; grandmother, Mary Lundberg; his dog, Misty and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and distant relatives.

His grandfather, Arnold Lundberg, preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be Monday, June 6th, 2:30 p.m., at the United Methodist Church in Sac City with Reverend Dean McPherson officiating. Rick and Stephanie Hecht will sing a duet accompanied by Dave Cook, organist. Honorary pallbearers include Scott Jacobsen, Ryan Voyles, Jay Martin, Trey Myers, and Wyatt Murray. Pallbearers will be the following: Dan Martin, Bruce Martin, Dexter Luchtel, Eric Groen, Butch Quail, and Dave Cook. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery in Sac City under the direction of the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home.

Visitation is from 2:00-8:00 pm Sunday at the United Methodist Church in Sac City, with the family present from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00.
