Beatrice Minnmann

Beatrice Elinor Minnmann, age 83, of Sac City, Iowa passed away on December 9, 2003, at Park View Care Center , in Sac City.

Beatrice was born on December 8, 1920, in Cedar Township, Sac County, Iowa, the daughter of Gilbert William and Helen C. (Swanson) Peters. She graduated from country school and from Sac High School in 1938.

On April 28, 1940, Beatrice was united in marriage to Everett F. Minnmann in Sac City. To this union, five children were born: Jon, Junella, E. Lynn, Betty, and Kim.

Bea was baptized, confirmed, and a lifetime member of the Sac City United Methodist Church.

She was a housewife and worked for many years at the Sac City School lunch program.

Hobbies that Bea enjoyed were watching birds, growing flowers, sewing, knitting, and crocheting.

Bea is survived by three sons: Jon and his wife Virginia of Sac City, E. Lynn of Sioux City, and Kim and his wife Diane of Ankeny; two daughters: Junella Wesselink and her husband Bob of Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Betty Heun and her husband Ed of Freemont, Nebraska; 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and a sister Floris Waller of Cedar Falls.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Everett on October 29, 1989; and a sister Wilma Hartsell.

Funeral service for Beatrice will be Friday, December 12, 2003, at the United Methodist Church in Sac City, with Rev. Dean McPherson officiating. Russ Davis will provide special music with Mary Townsend, organist. Honorary Pallbearers include: Bob Wesselink and Ed Heun. Caskerbearers will be the following: Jon Minnmann, E. Lynn Minnmann, Kim Minnmann, Mark Minnmann, Doug Wesselink, David Wesselink, and Tim Heun. Burial will be at the Oakland Cemetery in Sac City.

Visitation is at the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 11, 2003.
