Barbara Jean Patton, age 68, of Lake View, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Stewart Memorial Community Hospital in Lake City, Iowa.

Barbara Jean Booth was born February 11, 1944, to Russell F. and Dorothy M. (Schrienbeck) Booth in Carroll, Iowa. She grew up in Lytton, Iowa and attended Lytton Community School. She moved to Sac City and to Fort Dodge in 1977 where she took a job at the Hotel and met Robert Patton. They moved to Arkansas in 1979 where they were married at Prescott, Arkansas on April 23, 1980 and worked at the Check In Motel. They moved back to Iowa to be closer to family and friends.

Barb loved her computer, attending garage sales, birdhouses, watching and feeding her birds, and smiley faces, especially those of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved the outdoors and listening to country music. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Patton of Lake View; daughters: Melissa (Tim) Beyerink of Lytton, Rhonda (Mike) Behoneck of Livermore, Denise (Lee) Lawson of Ames, and Julie (Charlie) Degner of Fort Dodge; sons: Earl Schade of Lake View, Troy Schade of Carnarvon, Michael Patton of Fort Dodge, Robert Patton, Jr. of Fort Dodge, and Stewart Patton of Fort Dodge; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and extended family members. Other survivors include her sisters: Rosanne Tucker of Lake View and Brenda (Steve) Naberhaus of Carroll; brothers: John (Jan) Booth of Newton and Dan (Tammy) Booth of Storm Lake.

Barb was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Dorothy Booth; sisters: Bonnie, Vicki and Connie; daughter-in-law Cheri Schade; and great-nephew Colton Wolfe.
